Hygge: Our Present To You This Holiday Season.
3 Pillars Parent Newsletter #42

Dear Awesome Parents,
Happy holidays to you! Whichever holiday you’re celebrating - and there are A LOT this time of year, you probably need some Hygge. It’s a Danish term - and I totally think we should steal it- it literally means “to cozy around together”. Who couldn’t use a little more cozying, and little less doing?
Some of the usual elements of cozying around together include wearing warm socks, drinking something hot and delicious, cheerful or calming music, soft blankets, and fire. Add to this the emotional elements of Belonging, Togetherness, and Relaxing; and you’ve got a recipe for good memories, lower blood pressure, and possibly a new tradition.
Just as important, of course, is what’s not hygge: Devices. Loud noises. Bright lights.
Wishing you a Hygge Holiday,
Catherine and Glenn
